Radiology Information System (RIS)

With the scroll of a mouse, NorCal has taken a giant leap forward in streamlining the process by which you and your patients schedule, register, move through our centers, and receive reports. The new Radiology Information System that has been implemented in both practices should reduce or eliminate most of the roadblocks you may have encountered in the past.

Two major changes are open access to schedules at all offices so that schedulers at any office can check appointment availability at any other office within the practice. The second major change is reduced report turn around time. Turn around time at both practices as always depended on the US Mail. The new information system will generate a final report with the radiologist's electronic signature that will be faxed directly to your office. This fax will be your original report and will exceed all legal and regulatory requirements. If you do not currently receive faxed reports, please fax your fax number to the Administrative Office, 408-244-6596. If you need to continue to receive your reports by mail, please contact the Administrative Office, so that we can adjust our system.
